About Vanessa Reyes

I am a communicable disease investigator at Sacramento County Public Health. My responsibilities include conducting disease surveillance and education, as well as applying disease intervention, data analysis, and program planning skills to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases while promoting health equity. I hold a BA in Public Health from the University of California, Merced. During my studies, I focused on health psychology as an exchange student at the University of Sussex. With over five years of experience in various public health programs, including the Perinatal Equity Initiative, COVID-19 Case Investigation, and the Healthy Families San Joaquin Program, I am dedicated to improving the health and well-being of diverse populations through evidence-based interventions, education, data, and advocacy.
