About Vanessa Roup
As a Colorado native, raised in the foothills of Morrison, I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018 where I studied Environmental Studies & Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I've also acquired minors in Business and Communications and earned my Public Health Certificate. In the Spring of 2024, I graduated from the Colorado School of Public Health with a Masters in Public Health. My emphasis was Mental Health and Wellbeing with a capstone researching the connection between mental health and climate change in agricultural workers. I am passionate about Public Health and the environment. During my undergrad I worked for Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) providing HIV education, testing, outreach, and harm reduction, I started my career with the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) at the beginning of 2019. With WICHE I have worked on a variety of projects including evidenced-based practice Fidelity Reviews, developing the Guam Psychology Internship Consortium, leading the South Dakota Quality Assurance Review team, the SAMHSA Rural Communities Opioid Response Program, and the Mountain Plains Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Program.
