About Vanessa Schaaf

My name is Vanessa Schaaf, and I am a licensed tattoo artist in Rice Lake, Wisconsin where I practice cosmetic and medical tattooing. These include eyebrows, eyeliner, lips, scar camouflage and areola pigmentation for women who have undergone breast reconstruction and/or nipple reconstruction. After being trained at Penn’s Perlman Building for Advanced Medicine, one of top teaching hospitals in the nation, I am able to recreate the look of 3D areolas and nipples on women who have lost theirs during surgery-and help them to regain part of what they lost through their journey with cancer. I have also worked with women experiencing loss of brows and lashes due to medical conditions such as alopecia, undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, and the natural aging process. I am one of only two AAM board certified PMU artists in Wisconsin where I specialize in hyper-realistic cosmetic and medical tattooing without compromising the health & dignity of the skin and most importantly, the client. I perform PMU of brows, liner, lips, scar camo & 3D areola tattooing. My art & passion lies in restoring self-confidence in women & my expertise lies in my artistic eye for detail & extensive study of color theory during my art major years of college. I am particularly motivated by working with those experiencing loss of brows or lashes due to medical conditions such as alopecia, those who choose to have areolas restored after their cancer journeys & undergoing chemotherapy & radiation, those with scarring, & of course, results of the natural aging process. In addition to my experience with medical and cosmetic tattooing, I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, which I believe greatly improves my ability to work with women who are experiencing the health complications that have resulted in the desire to seek these types of procedures.
