Background
About Vani Garg
I have been a research assistant at the intersection of climate and health with Scope Impact. Supporting in documentation, data management, facilitation of interviews and FGDs with healthcare workers and community members.A fellow at Sadhana Forest, Virudhanagar District, devising ways for food security in one of the driest parts of Tamil Nadu and working with an all-women group on ground. As a trustee, researcher, and communications lead at Developing Inclusive Education (DEVISE), we co-created, planned, designed, and facilitated Sayukti Research Fellowship, livelihood initiatives, and free education centers for Sayukti Collective (DEVISE) in Patna, Bihar. I have worn other hats to facilitate workshops on climate awareness for school children of Dehradun, and juggled research gigs with Heinrich Böll Foundation, South Asia Bioregionalism, and Initiative for Climate Action. It brings me joy to convert complex climate knowledge into children's storybooks; I also write essays, research papers, and design reports—basically, words and visuals are my playground. Forever chasing the offbeat path, with poetry, guitar, and new challenges as my compass.
