Vania Rudolf, MD, MPH, DFASAM is a primary care and addiction medicine physician with a background in family medicine with OB and completed fellowship trainings in Integrative Medicine (University of Arizona), Addiction Medicine (Swedish Medical Center), High Risk Obstetrics (Swedish Medical Center), and public health training (Executive Master of Public Health Program, University of Washington). Dr. Rudolf is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), a Clinical Associate Professor at the Family Medicine Department, University of Washington and a Faculty Physician at Addiction Recovery Services, Swedish Medical Center, Seattle, WA. She is the Chair of the new Women and Addiction Group for the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM), and the past Chair of the Special Interest Women and Substance Used Disorder Group for the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). She serves as the current President of the Washington Society of Addiction Medicine (WSAM), the Washington state chapter of ASAM. She is a subject expert in addiction medicine, public health, health professional engagement, perinatal substance use, and is actively involved in numerous local, state, national and global task forces, committees, and workgroups. She is passionate about advancing the field of addiction medicine and equitable healthcare for all people, and participates in the development of policies, professional guidelines, and legislative advocacy efforts to enhance stigma-free, evidence-based and compassionate addiction treatment. As a physician, she values providing culturally sensitive, trauma-responsive and compassionate whole person care to help people with SUD find optimal ways to improve health, wellbeing and satisfaction in life.
