Molecular Biologist | Pathologist | Gene Editing & Biotechnology Innovator As a Molecular Biologist and Pathologist specializing in genome engineering and microbial research, I bring extensive expertise in CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, protein structure-function studies, and genetic research advancements. My work spans biopharmaceuticals, biotechnology training, and environmental sustainability, with a commitment to advancing molecular diagnostics and disease research. In my current role as a Scientist – Pathology Curation Support at Forest Research – Alice Holt, I work in a containment laboratory, overseeing a centralized fungal, bacterial, and Phytophthora culture curation facility. My responsibilities include DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, morphological characterization, and bioinformatics analyses such as sequence processing, BLAST, and phylogenetic tree construction. Additionally, I conduct environmental monitoring in controlled conditions, design experimental protocols for microbial preservation, and contribute to research publications.
