About Varun Prithvi

I dreamt of getting into the IT sector after my graduation in Civil Engineering; pursuing a fair share of certifications to successfully scratch the surface of IT and put one foot through the door. Starting as a DBA, to now a Technical Account Manager, I touched every aspect of Healthcare IT, working with end-users, helpdesk, engineers, managers, executives, IT leaders, management and boards, the C-Suite, encompassing 18 years of my career. Inherently risk averse and with a keen insight gained through my professional years, about aspects of security and privacy, it only makes it easy for me to grasp the challenges that lurk around us. As a life-long learner, I believe 'Structured Learning' helps with maturity and 'Unstructured Learning' fosters creativity and critical thinking. Growing up, I played with Lego - from putting pieces together for small cars and houses to building a massive city. Organizing, structuring and following processes was ingrained into me. My first public speaking forum was in class 10, when my classmates and teachers trusted me to compere during the Annual Day event, without much practice; I hit the stage fearless, exuding confidence; I still continue to do so, enabling me to reach out and actively engage with different stakeholders. My Grandparents inculcated the habit of writing to them instead of communicating over phone calls; the thought of an ‘inland letter’ or a ‘post card’ is nostalgic. It was in class 8, that I braved up to write a letter to the then Prime Minister of India and other ministry heads; I had received one response which I have kept safe.
