About Varun Teja

I’ve always believed that technology should support, not complicate, patient care. That’s why I love working at the intersection of healthcare and IT, helping organizations bridge the gap between clinical workflows and technical systems to implement scalable, patient-centered HIS solutions. As an experienced Integration Architect, I’ve supported regional hospital systems in Ontario and British Columbia with large-scale EHR implementations. I’ve also worked with healthcare providers in the Asia-Pacific region during my time at Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), helping them modernize legacy HIS platforms. With a background in computer science, I bring both technical depth and a strong understanding of clinical needs. I work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to ensure systems are aligned with frontline care delivery. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is knowing that the systems we build allow care providers to spend more time with patients. What I find most frustrating? How hard it is for the healthcare industry to let go of outdated, legacy systems. But that’s also the opportunity to push for change where it matters most.
