About Vasco Zeferina

I am an energy modeller and analyst working at the intersection of energy systems modelling, energy markets, and data analytics, with a strong focus on decarbonisation and the energy transition. My work centres on using quantitative analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making, policy design, and investment planning in complex energy systems.I have over 5+ years of experience across energy consultancy, R&D, and applied research, supported by a PhD in energy-related research. My background combines engineering fundamentals with advanced analytical methods, allowing me to translate complex system behaviour into clear, decision-relevant insights.Core expertise includes- Energy systems & market modelling- Energy analytics & quantitative analysis- Techno-economic and feasibility studies- Statistical analysis & data science- Decarbonisation pathways and energy transition analysisI have worked across industrial energy systems, building and energy modelling, and research-driven projects, including roles in consultancy, industrial R&D, and academic research. This combination has given me strong systems thinking, the ability to work with uncertainty, and experience bridging technical analysis with real-world decision contexts.Alongside my technical work, I am highly engaged in communication, collaboration, and outreach — from volunteering and community projects to theatre and stand-up comedy — which strengthens my ability to explain complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.I am particularly interested in roles related to energy market analysis, energy modelling, and data-driven decision support within the energy transition.
