About Vassilios Dascalopoulos

Vassilios is Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Valuecom. Previously he was a BoD Advisor for Pitch PR. He has also served as a Managing Director of Asset Ogilvy Public Relations (2010-2016). He joined Ogilvy in and founded Ogilvy Public Affairs in Greece, coming from a career in political consultancy. During his 17 years with the company he transformed a small agency in to a highly prestigious Communication and Public Relations firm. From 1993 to he was the Chief Strategic Advisor to 4 different Government Spokesmen and to the Greek Government. Vassilios served as the Vice President of Asset Ogilvy specializing in Corporate Communication, Public Affairs, Crisis Management, CSR, Health & Medical and Political Communication. In his career he has served clients such as OTE|COSMOTE, Mattel, Roche, Olvos/Galenica, HSBC, TEVA, PASAL, Citibank, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Lenovo, Samsung, Halyvourgiki, PPC, Wikipedia, Abbvie, Janssen, Johnson & Johnson, AADE, FRAPORT, PIF, Novibet, H&M, EOPYY and many more blue chip companies. As a professional with a background in politics and media environment understanding he has designed and implemented highly successful corporate strategies focusing on the social dimension of the “corporate” entity, which he describes as an active, socially responsible citizen. He created and embodied core narratives, values and messages in corporate media relations programs with agenda setting initiatives for strengthening firm's reputations with credibility while promoting message penetration in target groups of special interest. Vassilios is also known for his extremely effective Crisis Management strategic approach, tactical skills and results. He has won many awards and brought the first Grand Ermis Award in the history of Asset Ogilvy. He has taught Political Communication at the School of Public Administration, is a member of Institute of Communication where he has tought in specialized seminars. Vassilios is a member of the Board of EDEE. He is a renowned analyst and commentator in Greek and foreign media regarding Greek and US electoral politics.
