About Vasu Sharma

I'm delighted to introduce myself as Vasu Sharma, a bespoke professional who is a strong believer in data-driven decision-making. A protégé of Loyola University's School of Business Administration, I graduated with an MBA from the institution in 2020. As part of my academic curriculum, I completed an internship at Bata Limited, where I was responsible for analyzing sales and inventory data to aid in decision-making regarding product positioning, inventory management, and marketing strategy development. I recognized the critical nature of utilizing data and tools such as Advanced Excel to analyse large swath data to generate plausible conclusions. Since then, I've been smitten by the data bug and have constantly been looking for opportunities to expand my foundational knowledge in data science/business analytics and build a career. As part of my career development journey, I completed PGP in Data Science and Business Analytics offered jointly by Texas McCombs University and Great Lakes. As part of the curriculum, I've developed a strong understanding of the tools, theories, and techniques used to collect, interpret, and visualise business data. In 2023, after I changed my role from business development to logistics solution analyst, I realised the need to upskill myself in digital supply chain analysis, which led me to enroll myself in PGP in Digital Supply Chain Management from Purdue University. I'm hoping that the knowledge gained through my academic studies and my penchant for analysing the data and making meaning insights and recommendations clubbed with the supply chain knowledge will make me a suitable candidate for multiple roles in supply chain/logistics domain.
