Vaughn Smith is the Associate Vice President of Trusts, Estates, and Private Clients at Freeman’s Hindman, where she develops and manages a portfolio of top clients across the firm’s departments. With nearly 10 years of auction and appraisal experience, Vaughn specializes in assisting fiduciaries, high-net-worth clients, and family offices with valuations and management of single items or full collections. Vaughn engages in open dialogue with advisors and clients throughout Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky to fully understand their goals. She collaborates with firm stakeholders and delivers tailored solutions for clients' appraisal, consignment, and acquisition needs. Vaughn is compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), certified as an applied jewelry professional from the Gemological Institute of America, and a licensed auctioneer. During her tenure at Hindman, Vaughn has overseen large-scale appraisals and single-owner sales, including notable collections such as those from Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fleischmann the Carmen S. Holeman Trust, Property from Linden House in Indianapolis, IN, the Estate of John Kluge benefiting Columbia University, the Winter White House in Palm Beach, and assets from the George R. Francoeur Trust, with proceeds benefiting the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Outside of work, Vaughn is active in her community through the Junior League of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Bluegrass Land Conservancy.
