About Veijo Kinnunen
I work at University of Helsinki in very interesting SleepWell Research Program at Iiris Hovatta Lab where we work on genetics and neurobiology of anxiety disorders. We also study sleep and how it affects health. Previously I was working in Stemm Cells and Metabolism recearch Program at Tyynismaa lab where we studied the effects of mitochondrial dysfunction on metabolism. In my masters thesis I studied the condition of an old wood sample lifted from a shipwreck at the Archipelago sea. The thesis was funded by the National Board of Antiquities (NBA) and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
