About Vera Blazevic

Throughout my research career, I have been driven by a passion for understanding the interactions between humans and technology in uncertain settings. My PhD centered on investigating knowledge interfaces in collaborative innovation, considering human as well as technological factors. Since then I have studied how different stakeholders (internally: different functional groups and externally: customers, suppliers, partners) co-create value during their innovation activities. Today, I am mainly focusing on two major societal challenges, namely sustainable development and digitalization. Both these trends provide context for my research focus on how organizations innovate within their wider stakeholder ecosystems - also in collaboration with (generative) AI, which challenges, tensions and practices these create and the impact these innovation collaborations have on each participating party. I study these innovation networks with a particular interest in digitalization and sustainability, and actively contribute my knowledge towards resolving grand challenges like good health and well-being (SDG 3), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11) and digital (business) transformation to foster innovation (SDG 9) and partnerships (SDG 17).
