About Vera Woloshyn

I am Professor in the Faculty of Education at Brock University and Registered Psychotherapist. My research and teaching interests include exploring individuals’ learning, mental health, and wellness experiences as well as developing and implementing unique programs to support their academic success and well-being. Specifically, I hold a strengths-based, holistic approach to learning, mental health, and wellness that recognizes the interconnectedness of individuals’ cognitive, emotional, social, cultural, familial, physical, and spiritual experiences. My related interests include exploring the experiences of those who work in related helping professions and the use of popular culture as a learning tool. Over the years, I have held several administrative positions that have inspired my interests in administrative identity and leadership experiences. I have authored numerous research articles, book chapters, and texts in these areas.
