About Vera Zingg

Text, language, nature and sports - these are my passions. I've been able to pursue almost all of them for over 14 years at Swiss Television SRF. At the moment I work as a journalist, editor and host for social media formats of SRF. I am particularly interested in transmitting the news to our younger audience in a fun and appropriate way. Personally I find it most important to deliver accurate news to the next generation. My interests & hobbies are diverse. Global & local events can catch my attention just as much as emotional images and stories or topics from sports, design, environment/ecology, animals. In my spare time I offer text and proofreading for friends. My favorite place is somewhere very high up, very close to the water or in the middle of the countryside. Be it on skis, on a sailing boat or in hiking boots - just to name a few examples. Water is my happy place - in all states of aggregation. I also like physical challenges of all kinds; those moments when your mind is fully focused on the now. I am a team player & like to be challenged. A quick perception makes it easy for me to familiarize myself with different jobs.
