About Verena Jahn
I finished my master’s degree in 2022 by conducting a study about how traumatic childhood experiences are influencing the individual’s vulnerability when facing a stressful event like the COVID-19 pandemic. While finishing my thesis I was already working as a psychologist. Together with Daniel Prattinger psychotherapist from Vienna we executed a Surftherapy Project on Canary Islands with German speaking patient. Surftherapy combines surfing and psychotherapy. The positive feedback of our patients made me extremely happy! Knowing that I can have a positive impact on the mental well-being of our patient is one of the most rewarding and satisfying feelings for me. My greatest strengths are my empathy and being able to quickly understand and adapt to different personality styles. These traits allow me to quickly create a connection and understand the needs of my interlocuter.
