About Verena Ziegler
Interdisciplinary designer, researcher, and lecturer with over ten years of experience in design, architecture, and interaction. Verena combines artistic, design-based, and academic approaches to develop innovative products, services, and research tools that address aesthetic, societal, and ecological challenges. Her current focus lies on decolonial knowledge practices, cultural representation—particularly in the context of Roma communities—and the development of affective-symbolic methodologies. She also conducts and teaches interdisciplinary research on embodied interaction, computational design, and new materialism at Zurich University of Arts and other academic institutions. Verena holds a Master of Design from Auckland University of Technology and a Master of Arts in Textile Design from Hochschule Reutlingen and an Engineering Diploma in Architecture. She is currently finishing her PhD in Linz University of Arts.
