CACDP Level 1 and 2, NVQ BSL Level 3 and 4. 2004 -2009 University graduate in Social Care and Deaf Studies BA (Hons) I volunteered with the Norths Staff Special Adventure Playground during the school holidays for children aged 3-18 with special needs. My role and duties were to ensure to well being and health and safety is maintained with the child/young person I am paired with for the morning shift. Age 13 years, I began learning British Sign Language (BSL). Completing Level1, a year later and undertaking my first communication role with Deaf UK Athletics in Stoke-on-Trent. 2009 -2011 Freelance Interpreter across Midlands, West Midlands and North East. Domains of work include: Medical, Education, Social Services and Community. 2012 - 2013 - Support Worker for disabled young people with challenging behaviour with One to One Support Services in Derby. Providing support 24/7 for individuals within their home, assisting them with daily tasks. 2006 to present voluntary and Mentor with National Deaf Children Society.
