About Vernon Hofferd

As I have been an instructor in GWO courses for the past 7 years, my expertise is based on experiences from teaching and climbing within the wind industry. Ordinarily I have been an instructor in GWO working at heights, fire awareness, manual handling, advance rescue, and rope access in Esbjerg for 7 years and so I am familiar with GWO, Irata rope access and DNV standard, procedures, audits and certifications. I have a valid rope access Irata lv 1 certificate with aprox 400 hours logged onsite with many more trained in the work place training center in Esbjerg. Other knowledge includes turbine mounted safety equipment, and PPE annual inspections in which I have many competent person certificates. Along with this I have also had education in mountain rescue from Canada, DBI fire instructor courses, and Canadian HSE standards. On many occasions, I have also planned and developed risk assessments and contingency plans for working at height onsite courses onshore and thus am familiar with requirements in different working environments. Further education based, I also have a 4 year bachelor degree from the University of Northern British Colombia in Canada in Nature Based Tourism Management.
