About Vernon Jackson
I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida one of 6 kids raised by a very caring mother. As a child I enjoyed reading, the outdoors and sports. I graduated with honors from Maynard Evans High School in 2005. I earned a football scholarship to attend the University of Iowa where I completed my undergraduate studies. Along with playing football at the University of Iowa I served as a senator in the UI Student Government, the President of the Black Student Union and a Mentor at "The Spot" for at risk Iowa City youth. I graduated form the University of Iowa Cum Laude with a B.A in Political Science in the spring of 2009. In the fall of 2009 I began Law School at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville Florida. I earned Dean's Scholar and Dean's List academic distinctions frequently throughout my time at Florida Coastal. I graduated Cum Laude from Coastal in May 2012.
