About Veronica Belcher

My approach to testing is to ensure optimum quality is built into the software before it is released to production. I am passionate about quality and am able to communicate the importance of testing developed code, to stakeholders. The majority of my work career has been with government organisations, however I have worked within a mining engineering company as well as a claims management company working with the insurance industry, and I have performed as tester/test lead/test coordinator/test manager in this space. I have highly developed negotiation skills and can quickly build rapport with stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes are obtained and deadlines reached while not compromising on quality. I have worked closely with project managers and their teams to ensure that deliverables are achievable and can be met within timeframes. I have 4 years experience with Quality Centre and effectively monitor and update defects where necessary. I am also experienced in Microsoft Test Professional and Team Foundation Server as well as Jira and Confluence. I am an Associate member of the ANZTB (Australia and New Zealand Testing Board) and an active member of the ANZTB Technical Advisory Group Exam panel writing exam questions for the ISTQB/ANZTB Testing certification examinations.
