About Veronica Blumenthal

I am a passionate tourism scholar and travel addict currently working as a Senior Researcher at the Norwegian Centre for Transport Research. My research interests include tourism experiences, experience design, destination development, regional development and sustainability. I am also an eager research communicator (an award winning one at that). I hold PhD in tourism from the University of Stavanger, a master's degree in nature-based tourism from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and a bachelor's degree in tourism management from Lillehammer University College. Prior to becoming a researcher, my industry experience includes 2,5 years of working as an Online Marketing Specialist at KILROY International in Copenhagen and one year as a marketing and sales trainee for a tourism provider. In my spare time, I host the Norwegian travel podcast "Hekta på reise".
