About Veronica Borges

Experienced Human Resources professional with a focus in Policy and Training & Development. For me, policy writing is a balancing act and I am energized by trying to keep the scale centered between being too overbearing or too ambiguous. A thoughtful policy keeps the company running smoothly with clear guidelines without having employees feel as though they are being infringed upon. Achieving this requires researching relevant employment laws, updating existing policies, creating new policies and conducting workplace investigations. As a training & development specialist, my goal is to ensure that there are no gaps within the current procedure and to anticipate and fill any future training needs through the progression of the business. I evaluate the current programs and create the necessary training programs to then facilitate one-on-one and group training sessions in an open way that allows everyone to feel comfortable and confident to ask questions. Policies and training are parts of the evolution of an organization’s business plan. If we consider a business is a sum of its people, then an organization’s success is directly derived from the tools they provide their personnel. I pride myself in being able to provide those tools.
