Veronica Clanton-Higgins, CEO of VCH Prosperity Consulting LLC, stands out as a Mental Health Consultant with an impressive background. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills, she furthered her education with a Master's in Social Work at the University of Southern California. Currently, she's advancing her expertise by pursuing a PhD in Clinical Sexology. Veronica's approach to clinical care is eclectic and decolonized, focusing on intersectionality, anxiety, depression, sexual concerns, trauma, and stress disorders. Her certification as a life and sexuality coach enables her to assist clients in improving self-care, self-esteem, and leadership skills. A native of Compton, CA, Veronica founded the Compton Wellness Collective (CWC) under VCH Prosperity Consulting, aiming to "heal the hood" by addressing mental health disparities in black and brown communities. The CWC unites professionals from various healing disciplines, all dedicated to enhancing mental and socio-emotional wellness in Compton and its surroundings. In addition to her professional pursuits, Veronica is deeply involved in community service. She serves as the Associate Director of the Compton Advocates Coalition and sits on the CA 64th Assembly District Women's Commission. Her past roles include board positions with the Compton Girls Club and as the Mental Health & Wellness Director for the Yetunde Price Resource Center. Veronica is also the founder of TEDxComptonBlvd and the Intentional Healing Podcast, platforms created to elevate Compton's narrative through resident voices. Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the Compton Champion award, the Women's Leadership award from the California State Assembly, 64th District, and the Community Humanitarian of the Year by Children Striving Together.
