She is a Financial Educator for Patelco Credit Union, an award-winning international speaker, a published poet, and a professional comedienne. She has won numerous awards for her work as a financial educator. Most notably, she was awarded the 2017 Credit Union Rock Star Award and twice won the national Desjardins Award for her contributions to adult financial literacy. She has taught financial literacy for 18 years at UC Berkeley, Cal State University East Bay, San Francisco State University, St Mary;s College and Sierra Junior College as well as dozens of high schools and nonprofit organizations throughout the state. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Sacramento State University. As a philanthropist, she supports the Bay Area Crisis Nursery for six years as a producer and performer in their annual Mother’s Day Comedy Show fundraiser. In her free time, you can find Veronica traveling the world, enjoying the company of her three children, and engaging in continual learning. She believes that in order to achieve financial prosperity, people need to understand and connect with the emotional impact of money.
