About Veronica Greaves

I’m a Clinical Counsellor with a focus on supporting people navigate the ordinary, and sometimes extraordinary, challenges life throws at us. My work is person centered and I combine various talk therapy approaches with Somatic Experiencing® (SE) techniques. SE taps into the body’s natural ability to resolve traumatic stress. I have found it’s impact to be profound. I love working with individuals and delivering group psychoeducation programs supporting people to develop their skills and to learn in relationship with others. I am a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia with a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling, I have completed Somatic Experiencing® training I/II, an approach which supports a resolution for trauma trapped in the body. I have found it's impact to be profound. I am also trained in Complex Trauma and Suicide Prevention, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and I am a Victims Services Approved Counsellor. I previously spent 20+ years working in various marketing roles, predominantly in the not-for-profit sector before I became fascinated by understanding human behaviour. I discovered a strong desire for learning guided by curiosity. I am deeply energised by having found work I feel so passionate about, and continue to focus on my personal and professional development.
