About Veronica Isabel Polanco

On this season of balancing my full-time role with my masters program~ At Google, I'm leading my team to help the businesses I partner with plan against their goals for 2024. In preparation for these meetings, I analyze a crap ton of data to identify business and marketing opportunities. These are some of my favorite conversations with clients, where we get to reflect on 2023 and form a strategy that we'll execute together. These meetings tend to be the catalyst to playing a small, humble role in the transformation of my clients' businesses. Another goal of mine is to see through the AI noise and form a perspective on tangible ways my clients should be using AI, both with Google products and in general. I'm still learning how to delegate better. At Penn, I'M WRITING IN ALL CAPS. I'm taking "Big Data Analytics" and "Database & Information Systems." I'm working on building a dynamic web application on top of a SQL database with 3 classmates. I'll be tested on database design, normalization, query optimization, and SQL. I'm spending time on data manipulation, data visualization and on the training / classification of my first ML model.~My Story So Far~ My career transitioned from analyst in finance to marketing in tech. Driven by a curiosity for technology, I'm currently studying to build a strong foundation in CS as well as a general ability in various programming languages. I'm looking to eventually pivot from one end of the user, partnerships with clients, to the other end of the user, making products through programming. I'm driven by learning, growing, creativity and spirituality. I'm passionate about the global Black and Latinx communities and equity in general. This value is a common thread I take with me everywhere.
