Hi! My name is Veronica Jurek and I am currently handle the Direct Marketing for World Book Inc. I specialize in creating announcements, customer relations, and complete marketing set-up for four different World Book publications - Christmas Around the World, Today Book desk calendar, World Book Year Books, and the Childcraft series. I design all marketing material/collateral for these books, work directly with vendors to have them created, organize our customer lists and forecast sales for the books, coordinate direct marketing financials with accounting, and handle the entire announcement and final shipment processes. I also work with our web and social media marketing team to help create marketing collateral for World Book’s sales team. Everything I do is based on a schedule I create, manage, and meet with success. I work with several teams within World Book to create a successful shipment based on a timeline I create. I also handle the end of month processes for yes-option sales that I bring in as direct marketing as well as track sales made and dispense any royalty payments. As of November 2022, I am now also handling the graphic design needs for the Digital Marketing and Sales teams for World Book. I supply graphics for social media, the website, email marketing, the digimag, and online advertisements, as well as creating sale sheets and promos for sales. I also help with designing marketing swag and marketing materials/handouts needed for conventions World Book might participate in. Outside of my “9-5” I am a freelance illustrator and designer, usually doing small pop-up shows around Chicago. I work with traditional materials, usually pen and ink or with gouache. Programs I am successful in: Adobe Programs (especially InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop. Some Premiere), Microsoft Office, Google Plus/Google Drive, Sage/MAS, Constant Contact, MailChimp, WordPress, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, LinkedIn, Canva, Prezi
