Veronica is a seasoned social worker with a specialized focus on Child Welfare, Adoptions, and Trauma. With a career spanning over 15 years, Veronica has become a recognized subject matter expert in these areas, earning the prestigious Social Worker of the Year award for four consecutive years.As an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and a dedicated participant in the Plantation Fire Department's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Veronica is deeply committed to both professional excellence and community service. Her passion for supporting fellow social workers is evident in the platform they created, which provides resources and guidance for professionals at every stage of their journey.In addition to their fieldwork, Veronica serves as a Field Advisor for Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) students at Barry University, where she mentors the next generation of social workers. Her role as a Birth Doula further highlights their holistic approach to care, emphasizing the importance of trauma-informed and person-centered practices.Driven by the belief that "when you know better, you do better," Veronica embodies an intentional and purposeful approach to her work.
