Mrs. Lopez has built herself as a Subject Matter Expert in the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), as it applies to financial institution and non-financial institutions. She has served as a direct project manager and has become a proven leader with strong organizational and communicative skills, with experience in the successful management of personnel, achieved Board of Directors and organization’s objectives for successfully achieving the lifting of Consent Orders from regulators bureaus of The U.S. Department of Treasury. Veronica Lopez has 20 years dedicated to the Finance Industry providing oversight, consultation and direction to regulatory compliance/operational risk based programs, specifically around Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & USA PATRIOT Act regulations and guidelines. She has experience with the development of process workflows, writing and development of Policy & Procedures with leadership in regulatory exams and independent audits. Mrs. Lopez has worked alongside state regulators to enhance institutions BSA/AML procedures in management roles. She has been tasked with overseeing the Money Service Business initiative and improved onboarding, management, and ongoing monitoring processes. She has conducted trainings to season analyst on BSA/AML typologies and mandates as it relates to BSA/AML/CFT, including filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).
