About Veronica Nunez

I am a graduate student from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design, concentrated in Intimate Apparel. I also have an Associates Degree in Sportswear. I graduated with Cum Laude honors and I was one of the recipients of the 2013 SAIG Scholarship granted by The UnderFashion Club. During my senior year of college, I was given the opportunity to close out the Intimate Apparel section at Calvin Klein’s sponsored FIT fashion show: The Future of Fashion, with my design! That very same garment was also on display at the Museum of FIT in conjunction with their exhibit Exposed / A History of Lingerie. My experience includes working closely with companies such as Disney, DC Comics, Sanrio, Lucasfilms, Gap Inc, Lucky Brand Jeans and many more. I have assisted in every stage of product design from concept to production. I have worked in a very a fast paced environment, so I am accustomed to fast turnarounds, multitasking, and last minute deadlines on various accounts at the same time. I am extremely proficient in Adobe Illustrator,Photoshop and InDesign CC. Other programs include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. I am now utilizing my skills and expanding my experience at Komar Brands Inc. as a Associate Designer for the Sleepwear Brands of Betsey Johnson & Joe Fresh. I also have knowledge with social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Previous experiences include attending and working trade shows, handling administrative work, sewing garments, specing garments, attending model fittings, and styling runway shows and photoshoots.
