About Veronica Perry

Dedicated Probation Director whose primary mission is to manage a model evidence-based department that endeavors to increase community safety. Utilizing evidence-based practices, we provide access to early intervention, supervision, and treatment. Additionally, we also diligently enforce the Court’s orders while securing care for probationers so they can be better prepared to succeed in the community, positively impacting human behavior change and recidivism. Currently responsible for the overall operation of the Probation Department, providing leadership and direction to all employees of the Department in fulfilling the mission of the Court. Responsible for planning, directing, evaluating, and managing all operations of the Department to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and Court policies. Provide leadership advice and instruction on Department employees, and advice and counsel to judges on probation-related matters. Continually analyze and evaluate the Department structure, workflow, polices, and procedures and develop revisions as needed. Develop and implement orientation and training programs for Department employees. Develop annual budgets and monitor Department expenditures to operate within budget allocations, including funding streams from federal, state, and county agencies. Manage and direct all Probation Department grant programs, including the submission of grant proposals, development of grant policies and procedures, and the preparation and submission of fiscal and program reports, and audits. Seek, review, and disseminate new case law and statutes pertaining to criminal justice field to Probation Department staff. Serve as a representative of the Department and the Court to government entities and community agencies. Serve on multiple community corrections boards. Demonstrated experience and ability to manage others and lead change initiatives as demonstrated by several individual professional and Department-wide awards.
