About Veronica Pershall

What do you want to be when you grow up? My answer, a teacher! Growing up, I wanted to become a teacher and teach 3rd grade. Fast forward, and my slightly different answer to that question is, I want to be a Sociology professor and teach at UTSA! Therefore, I created my epic goals, and I started my educational career right after high school. I then graduated with my Associates Degree in Sociology - I thought I was well on my way to becoming a teacher. However, life threw me a curve ball, and little did I know I would still become a teacher, just not a teacher in the traditional sense. I became a mom! Teaching my babies was my new curriculum. Although, I was out of school a while my new goals were formulated, and I started my professional career at UT Health San Antonio. Now, I’m a highly experienced, skilled administrative professional and I’m set to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from UTSA this year! So, even though I may not be a 3rd grade teacher or a Sociology professor, just yet – who knows because anything is still possible! I do plan to start graduate school with a focus in higher education administration and see where this new path in my life takes me.
