About Veronica Rivas

I have worked in the business of communications for the past 20 years. Clients and projects include an array of sectors such as banking, transportation, non-for- profits, healthcare, tourism, hospitality, and more. I am very lucky to partner with high-level executives from other agencies from Canada and the USA such as Iconic and Newlink. I also have the opportunity to promote my clients in Canada and the USA with the public and trade. Some of my clients include Destination Marketing Offices who often require my expertise on event planning. Clients include the Mazatlan, Manzanillo, Huatulco, and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. In addition, translation and interpretation services are part of what I offer to my clients. I work closely with the Immigration Division, Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada and the Canadian Boarder Services Agency. One of the skills I have developed in the last 5-7 years has been online research for private and public clients. This has been very helpful to identify key journalists for media embargos, identify possible threats or hostile online content or look for news articles, court documents or criminal activities carried out in Spanish speaking countries. My experience includes cross-cultural and international projects. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
