About Vesa Hack

As the Head of Design at Digia/Avalon, I am at the forefront of sculpting premier human experiences in the burgeoning experience economy. With nearly 10 years at the helm, my journey is dedicated to the relentless enhancement of our human-centric design services, competencies, and offerings. My role is pivotal in steering Digia through an epic transformation towards a more human-centric service & design approach, signifying a major shift in how we conceptualize and deliver experiences. This holistic development journey demands a profound understanding of various domains, blending technological innovation with a people-first ethos. My diverse background spans significant change initiatives across multiple industries, reflecting a rich tapestry of expertise. Before venturing into design and consulting, I navigated through several CRM-related positions, culminating as the CRM Business Director for CGI in Finland, where I specialized in Salesforce and Microsoft solutions. My professional roots are deeply embedded in user experience, testing, and design, tracing back to the early Nevertheless, my passion extends beyond the digital realm to social work, particularly Child Protective Services (CPS), which was my initial career path. I am deeply passionate about change leadership, design thinking, systemic thinking, user experience (UX), and fostering diversity and inclusion. My contributions transcend advisory roles and design for clients, extending into internal HR and communications development projects. Creativity is a constant in my life; in my leisure time, I indulge in interior design and creating art, ranging from paintings to digital drawings and collages. Over the years, I've had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of clients, including but not limited to the Finnish Defence Forces, the Ministry of Finance, Ilmarinen, Finnish Tax Authorities (Vero), Fazer, Cloetta, Gasum, Neste, Oriola, and many other leading corporate and public sector entities across Finland. These experiences have not only honed my professional skills but also enriched my understanding of various industry challenges and dynamics.
