About Vesa Siitonen

Currently I am a heavy equipment mechanic at Millog Oy and in the past I have worked at for example Posti and for the Ehrensvärd Society at the Suomenlinna fortress. I also do voluntary work at two different museums, the Helsinki Civil Defence Museum as a guide and in projects and events, at the Parola Armour Museum I have worked on restoring museum vehicles and organizing events. I have also worked at the Scandic Grand Marina hotel as a receptionist. During my military service I was awarded the National Defence Medal and also for good sportsmanship at the Arrow 19 exercise. In the end of my military service I was also awarded as being the best gunner of my tank company. Working with main battle tanks gave me plenty of experience on working with heavy equipment. I am currently also in a position of responsibility (luottamustehtävä) at the Helsinki Civil Defence Association as a member of the board and also as a deputy member of the administrative advisor board of the Finnish Armor Museum Foundation.
