About Vesna Leontijevic

With a strong foundation in chemical engineering and a passion for sustainability, I specialize in biorefinery processes, supercritical fluid technology, and research & development. Currently pursuing my PhD at Universidad de Valladolid, my research focuses on biomass valorization and material science, with publications on topics such as surface wettability of lignin materials and cutin hydrolysis. Before transitioning into academia, I built a solid industry background at Al Pack doo. My roles ranged from Production Technologist to R&D Manager and Head of Primary Production, giving me hands-on experience in manufacturing, innovation, and leadership. Additionally, I gained valuable exposure to industrial processes during my internship at NIS Gazprom Neft. I thrive in multidisciplinary environments, leveraging my skills in problem-solving, communication, and leadership to drive impactful results. Fluent in English, and Serbian, I enjoy collaborating with diverse teams to push the boundaries of sustainable chemical engineering.
