Course Leader for the Marketing, and Marketing and Media Communications Degrees taught at the Business School at Bucks New University. Career in full service ad agencies and media independents/agencies, including research director at The Media Business, now Mediacom. Previous member of Broadcast Audience Research Board Technical Committee, National Readership Survey Main Committee and Technical Sub Committee. Market Research Society member. Owner of communications research company researching IT and digital communications in UK and Europe, including projects for European Commission BT,C&W, France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom. Taught at University of Westminster,University of Hertfordshire, Jeddah College of Advertising, at University of Business and Technology, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Current researching the role of communications models in industry media research surveys, and the impact of digital technology on media and marketing measurement systems. Specialties: Media communications research, semiotics, consumer behaviour, branding, marketing communications measuring effectiveness. Getting students to believe in themselves,enabling them to work in teams and to effectively participate in projects as part of a team and to feel successful as individuals. I always want to know what is 'over the next hill'​ and to 'be amazed' at what comes next. On personal level I have a passion for collecting 1st editions of books, my family, my cats and bad puns! Lifelong Chelsea FC fan.
