About Vickey Simovic

Vickey currently works as a Senior Development Manager at RioCan REIT, focusing on mixed-use development projects that combine residential, commercial and office space in both urban and suburban markets. She previously worked as a Manager & Senior Advisor in the Transit Oriented Communities (TOC) Program at Metrolinx, worked to leverage the value of it’s transit network, real estate portfolio, and multi-billion dollar provincial investments in transit expansion - to bring jobs, housing and destinations closer to transit. Vickey holds a Masters of Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), as well as an undergraduate degree in Public Administration from Brock University. She is a city builder who is focused on building equitable and resilient communities. Vickey is an active member of the planning community and currently sits on the Urban Land Institute’s Program Committee. She previously co-chaired ULI’s Connect Committee. Her previous background was focused in transportation, where she worked as a Freedom of Information (FOI) Coordinator at both the TTC and Metrolinx, as well as a Research Manager at the Toronto Region Board of Trade.
