About Vicki Adams

I grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, attending school and UBC before going on to vet school in Saskatoon. I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota for a year doing a small animal veterinary internship before returning to Vancouver to practice small animal medicine. I then returned to Saskatoon in 1995 to live and work until 2002. During this time I completed a masters and doctor of philosophy degrees in epidemiology and biostatistics whilst still doing some locum vet work. I bought my one-way ticket to the UK in October 2002 and started full time work at the Animal Health Trust (AHT) in January 2003 as a Small Animal Epidemiologist with James Wood who was the Head of the Epidemiology Unit. After 6 very busy years, I left the Animal Health Trust in 2009 to start her own consulting business. I have been living in the UK for almost 19 years and view it as home now. I enjoy living in Suffolk with my fiance Roger and our Maine coon kitten. We are enjoying the good life living in a small village after finally being able to add a dog to our family - Hattie Hazel Princess Poo Pants - a rescued whippetty lurcher thingy.
