About Vicki Brincken

My passion is the details. When I worked in veterinary medicine, my favorite part of the job was lab work, where I followed a process, analyzed the product, drew a conclusion, and planned the next steps. While serving in the Navy, I found the most satisfaction in my role as a log petty officer. I reviewed the written records for four workstations and entered the metrics into an Excel tracking document. Occasionally, I would come across a broken Excel formula. Tracking down the errors and fixing them gave me a sense of pride when all the numbers finally aligned.Later, working in field service calibrations, I gravitated to the documentation process. I took pride in recording everything accurately, thoroughly, and in full compliance with procedure. These experiences have helped me realize that accounting is the profession where I can bring together all the things I enjoy most: structure, accuracy, and meaningful analysis. I’m excited to pursue a career where attention to detail isn’t just valued—it’s essential.
