About Vicki Ford-Smith

I believe passionately that H&S makes a difference and that when applied correctly in the workplace, can both reduce costs and improve people’s lives. I know that it sounds a bit of a cliché, but I do honestly believe that. I have worked in house for the majority of my safety career, and in 2019 moved to be a consultant, specialising in data centres. Whilst a fabulous job, I have returned to working in house and am now working for Bosco Catholic Education Trust. I have been here for 18 months and have embedded a new health and safety management system working with the 9 schools in our Trust. The role is varied and I love being able to support the school teams to manage their health and safety well. I hold the NEBOSH general, construction and fire certificates in addition to the NCRQ diploma. I have recently completed the P405 asbestos management course and the Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management. I am particularly interested in asbestos management, wellbeing and stress management and since completing my environmental management course, sustainability. I love working in this field because no two days are the same. I feel that I make a difference and that I am blessed to have a job that I truly love.
