About Vicki Pridmore

Vicki began her career as a wood-work and metal-craft teacher (she can tell you the difference between welding and brazing). She then trained as an organisational psychologist; has worked in education in clinical counselling and guidance services as well as organisational review, followed by a distinguished career in the Victorian Department of Human Services. Her final role with DHHS was Director, Portfolio Services, managing corporate complaints; privacy; ombudsman; legal services; media; communications; internal audit and FOI services and the provision of support and advice to the Ministers for Health, Aged Care, Community Services and Housing. From 2005 until 2008 Vicki was CEO of the Cheltenham & Regional Cemeteries Trust, an organization which had been through a protracted period of upheaval and external scrutiny where she worked to stabilize the organisation and implement a best practice operating model. Vicki worked with the Greek Orthodox Church to establish the first Greek orthodox chapel on a Victorian cemetery site and unusually travelled to America to establish Bunurong Memorial Park as the sole Australian provider of LifeGem memorial Diamonds. R3cently Vicki has been appointed as a Director to the southern metropolitan cemeteries trust (SMCT), the largest Victorian cemeteries entity. From 2008, to 2020 Vicki was CEO at BreastScreen Victoria reprising her previous role on a statewide level, in an area focussed on women and health - important considerations for Vicki. BSV provides free mammography screening to more than Victorian women aged between 50 and 74. A statewide network of public and private hospitals and radiology providers delivers this service to women. During my decade plus as CEO: BSV delivered a year on year increase in screens; rolled out digital mammography; expanded clinic locations; introduced MyCare a flagship client centered care initiative; became the first program nationally to achieve Rainbow Tick accreditation and importantly reduced program inequity through collaborations with VACCHO and CALD agencies. Sustainability creativity energy and inclusivity have been the hallmarks of the last decade. Vicki's successes are characterized by evidence energy creativity and relationships to establish best practice effective cultures. Vicki is currently focusing on NED roles in the health and related sectors.
