While working in the US for 20 years, friends would ask what I missed about NZ."The people" always first! Secondly "running around in bare-feet". This will make sense if you've been to NZ! I am a comfortable, practical, down-to-earth person. This tends to be the way I tackle life. Should I mention, I’m also an ambitious, action-taker, and tend to be wired to spot opportunities everywhere. In 10 years I went from broke backpacker to President of Flight Centre USA, growing sales from $3M ton $27M in 2 years and went on to create my own multi-million dollar Real estate development enterprise. I combine unconventional stories, corporate leadership and the science learned through a post grad diploma in Applied Psychology to help ambitious women nail their next leadership opportunity. My.045% Leadership Mindset programs reflect the AI calculation I am less than 1% lucky to be alive. I teach a.045% mindset-without the near death experience:) We also tackle the inner work. At the museum of the future in Dubai last year-what stopped me in my tracks was an entire floor dedicated to the inner work. No bells and whistles. As a change agent, speaker, professional coach, facilitator and mentor- I use story showing to teach resilience, skills, optimism and the power of connection. Why this, why now? 3 things are aligning on our planet. There are millions upon millions of young adults, who did not emerge well from COVID. Employers say 58% of young adults lack the preparedness, social skills and resilience needed to succeed.* We face a global wave of entitlement and unrealistic salary expectations. 90% of those leading countries are men. Imagine 9 drum kits and 1 guitar in a band and the music coming from the stage. The AI frontier is a super exciting game changer for our planet. The ability to connect people using behavioural science will be a top strength required by leaders. I teach skills to successfully navigate emerging technologies like AI, emotional resilience, critical thinking and how to set up conversations with staff about doomscrolling in the workplace.
