About Vicki Wray

Certified in Special Education for grade levels P-12, elementary education level 1-6, hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education as well as certification for Special Education Supervisor. Worked as a career facilitator at Arkansas State University where the Global Career Facilitator Program was completed. Knowledge of autism gained not only in the classroom but also working with FOCUS, Inc in the autism waiver program. Military training taught greater discipline and the financial aspects of the military which could be transferred into the civilian world. Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve these objectives have been a part of every job. Knowledge of human behavior and performance, research methods, and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and psychological disorders have assisted in my career as a special education teacher. Determining what ability level the students are and developing an individualized curriculum for each was a requirement at every job. Throughout the year I have to monitor and review information from materials to determine if the students are on the correct path. I have also worked at two different residential behavioral facilities. These experiences gave me great experiences with students who possess a variety of psychological issues as well as some with criminal pasts. I have extensive knowledge of federal special education requirements and take great proud in completing the necessary paperwork at both state and federal level. I am very organized, flexible, and detailed oriented with good written communication skills which have been proven time and again with inspection with the Arkansas Department of Education.
