If you took out all bones, skin, organs, nerves, what would be left is a 3D web of yourself. Rolf movement goes hand in hand during your Rolfing sessions. Visceral Manipulation deals with the organs of the body. Ideally organs should slip and slide along one another. Through trauma and postural habits motility and mobility can be disturbed causing a gluing affect. With gentle manipulation these organs can find freedom and ease up their attachments to the skeletal system. Dr. Barrel, developer of visceral manipulation, is quoted as saying "95% of all aches and pains come from the bound up attachments from the organs".
