As a Senior Litigation Paralegal with a vast and varied caseload (mostly focused on pharmaceutical and medical device product liability litigation), Vicky's twelve-year history at Troutman Pepper exemplifies her research, writing, communication, and technological proficiencies and expertise. Vicky proudly earned a full-ride academic scholarship to college, and was immediately recruited into the College Honors Program, urged to apply to be a Resident Assistant (promoted to "Senior Resident Assistant" and voted "Staff Member of the Year"), and chosen by two professors to serve as their Research Assistants and mentees. Despite choosing the challenge of a double-major in 1) Psychology and 2) Women's & Gender Studies (while also earning a minor in Political Science), she still graduated summa cum laude, with a 4.0 GPA, with Honors with Distinction, in just 4 years. Throughout her entire academic and professional career, Vicky has received countless accolades-from her peers and superiors alike-regarding her exceptional intelligence, work ethic, critical thinking/problem solving skills, ability to (quickly) not only learn new skills/programs/etc. but become proficient in them, and her willingness/ability to teach others and personify "other duties as assigned." She has also been continuously praised for her uncanny ability to anticipate (and meet) potential future needs, her attention to detail, and her intrinsic independent motivation and drive to succeed, both as an individual and as a member of numerous teams. For over a decade, the running "joke" has been that Vicky is treated/trusted like a "bargain" attorney; she is regularly asked to draft and/or edit pleadings, expert reports, and even client communications, proudly creating or enhancing attorney work product. Attorneys regularly remark in their glowing annual reviews that Vicky "makes [them] look good,""makes [them] a better lawyer," and even "keeps [them] sane!" Vicky remains committed to excellence, despite fighting lifelong chronic illnesses, choosing to utilize these challenging circumstances to develop a proficiency in flexibility, adaptation, and "rolling with the punches."
