About Vicky Fowler

From my lifelong dream of becoming a polyglot to my diverse experiences across academia, retail, finance, and business solutions, my journey has been defined by one driving force: clear communication. Over the years I have come to learn that being able to 'speak someone's language' doesn't just mean knowing English, French or German (although I've studied them all!). It encompasses understanding how people connect to one another across industries.In the last 10 years I've built up- Proficiency in both oral and written communication, honed through extensive reporting work- Proven expertise in collaborative projects on a global scale, which has enriched my teamwork and cross-cultural communication capabilities- Problem-solving skills that go beyond theory to practical, actionable solutions- Consulting expertise from early discovery sessions through to end of project handoversSince joining Fusion5 in 2019, my contributions have been diverse and impactful. I've actively participated in the operational aspects of two acquisitions, playing a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition. My project coordination skills shine through in my leadership of the successful implementation of our customer portal Infusion and in the ongoing internal CRM replacement project. I've been instrumental in the preparation of internal business continuity and audit documentation, ensuring compliance and resilience in our operations. Alongside all of that has been a drive to participate in our community - from being part of social & green clubs in both Wellington and Auckland offices, to mentoring junior team members, to coaching and training teams in live chat support, customer success operations, and marketing coordination - I always aim to actively contribute to a positive and inclusive culture wherever I am. Over the last two years I have actively pursued upskilling my technical consulting skills in the data & analytics space, working with customers to deploy centralised data platforms and help get their data to work for them. Since Microsoft Fabric became Generally Available in September 2023 I have been working on a variety of Fabric projects and recently became certified as a Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate.
