About Vicky Saunders

I completed a BSc in Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation at the University of Central Lancashire and graduated with a first class degree before working as a Digital Forensics Technician and Digital Investigator for Thames Valley Police High Tech Crime Unit (Jan 2016 - Mar 2020). I started as a Senior Forensic Investigator at CYFOR in Mar 2020 and in Aug 2021 became the Criminal Team Lead. From May 2025 I have been working for the Financial Conduct Authority in the role of Digital Forensic Manager. I have experience in many aspects of Digital Forensics from imaging through to reports in both a criminal and corporate setting. With over eight years’ experience conducting investigations I have experience in giving evidence at Criminal Court, Family Court, and Civil court, including advising senior counsel as an expert witness prior to trial. I am SC Security Cleared. I am proficient in different Digital Forensic tools such as Cellebrite Physical Analyser/Inseyets, MSAB XRY, XWays, Magnet AXIOM, and Graykey. I have undertaken many courses including but not limited to Control-F Smartphone App Forensics, College of Policing Core Skills in Data Recovery and Analysis, Advanced Windows 10 Forensic Analysis, Magnet Axiom AX302 – iOS Examinations, and Magnet Axiom AX350 – macOS Examinations.
